Procurement Specialist – Matrix Medical Network

Reports To:       Department:      Finance

Status:              Exempt

Location:          Scottsdale, AZ

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting with the establishment of the procurement function within the company.  This position will be responsible for development and implementation of purchasing strategies; vendor negotiations, relations and management;  and achieving cost efficiencies while enhancing company profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and implements procurement strategies and tactics to improve company profitability.

Develops and implements purchasing plans and drives sourcing initiatives to improve suppliers’ costs, quality, and execution.

Negotiates supplier contracts for purchases of goods and services.

Drives business efficiencies while achieving maximum value at minimum cost.

Develops, manages, and maintains vendor relationships.

Evaluates outsourcing solutions.

 Assists Finance and Client Services with client follow-up

      Assists all departments in establishing efficient purchasing processes.

      Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in purchasing/vendor management

Demonostrated effective negotiation skills.

Proven skills in financial analysis, contract negotiation, and problem-solving.

Proven ability to deliver assignments on time and in accordance with defined objectives.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Proven ability to work in rapidly growing and evolving company.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel.

Proven ability to organize and prioritize work activities.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with all levels within an organization.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.

 

Supervisory Resonsibility:

 

No supervisory responsibilities.

 

Travel Required:

 

No travel required.
