Strategic Sourcing: We are looking for a strategic sourcing professional with at least five years of procurement experience with software, hardware, technology consulting, and telecom. Individual must have a track record of cost reduction, productivity improvements, and strong team skills. Must be someone who has an ability to do risk/benefit analysis. The individual must so be able to multi-task and work effectively in a shared services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cost reduction strategies including competitive bidding utilizing Requests for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Quotations (RFQ) and negotiation with suppliers
  • Develop and execute supplier selection strategies which include risk assessment, benchmarking, supplier capability assessments
  • Draft contract terms and conditions, amendments, and changes
  • Develop and carry out a vendor management program including establishment of performance metrics, stratification, and consolidation

 Expectation

  • Ensure hardware, software, and telecom services are provided in a cost effective manner to internal customers.
  • Establish metrics to ensure continuing supplier performance
  • Achieve cost reduction targets

Required experience and skills

  • At least  5-7 years successful experience in procurement of technology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven skills in organization, negotiation, and problem solving
  • Benchmarking and developing metrics
  • Strong negotiator
  • Project management experience
  • Good business judgment

Education

  • B.A. or B.S. degree
  • CPM desirable

PURCHASER I

Responsibilities:

  • Purchases product to fulfill items needed on sub order, work order or sales order
  • Maintains database systems used in the company as it relates to the purchasing job function (AbleCore)
  • Maintain vendor contact information and website data for other departments
  • Notifies Operations, Engineering, and Sales on product delays or shortages when product cannot be received by due date
  • Assists Operations, Sales, or Engineering as needed to complete RMA steps or warranty claims on defective product
  • Ensures a monthly physical inventory count occurs and maintains a list of inventory write-off issues to be presented to Director of Finance
  • Review, revise and report on ETA’s on a weekly basis

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business or 1-3 years of related field work experience
  • Broad base of knowledge of the system integration and infrastructure industry
  • Negotiation and relational skills a must
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job assignments and functions
