“Performance Metrics – You’ve Gone Too Far – Gearing Up for a Fresh Start” - with Eddie Davila, Sr. Lecturer, W. P. Carey School of Business

Metrics are an important component of how companies drive to results and influence behavior.  Companies are often obsessed with numbers but history has proven that decisions made strictly on the numbers often lead us to disastrous results. Mr. Davila will help supply management professionals to identify the important performance indicators among the mountain of corporate data, and suggest ways in which professionals can help formulate meaningful metrics to meet their objectives. This presentation is not intended to survey performance measurement but to help supply management professionals to better meet their objectives, motivate their subordinates, and promote the goals of the supply chain and their corporation.

What Will Be Covered

  • Why do we measure? Motivation, Productivity Improvement, Cost Consistency, Cost Control

  • What are the end results of poor metrics?

Benefits to Attendees

  • Identify performance metrics that enable you to achieve your goals and objectives, make good decisions, and enhance your promotability

  • Through performance metrics, how can you help streamline and make your supply chain more effective?

  • How can you help transform toxic work place cultures and improve morale?

  • How can you better impact your company's growth and bottom line.
